As we stated in our vision statement: “Our vision is not "how are we going to reach the world," but "how is God’s church around the world going to reach the world?“ Missions today is not ministering to nationals, but serving with nationals for the glory of God. What If I were to tell you that you could increase the productivity of your church short-term mission investment by more than 100% for an investment of less than 10%? There is a simple and doable way to multiply your student mission ministry in a dynamic way.

In many places around the world, including Brazil, there are youth open to learning about and participating in missions. To ignite this opportunity we are developing partnerships. Most North American mission trips cost between $1,000 to $3,000 per person. Here in Brazil, and many other countries around the world, it would cost around $200 - $250 for someone who already knows the language and the culture to participate in new church plants and other missions projects. Here is how the financial part of the partnership would work: A youth group of 20 is going on a mission trip and raising $1,600 per person. If each student and leader raised just $100 more per person, it would help provide the resources for 20 nationals to reach their own people. Each national would still raise half of the actual cost, which is within their reach. This partnering will open the door for many more national youth to participate in missions.

Prayer and Relational Partnership

Through our ministry, PEPE, we will:

1. Post information and pictures of your trip to the nationals and the nationals’ trip to you.

2. Specific days set up for prayer for each others’ trips and prayer during the trips as well.

3. Promote and facilitate a post-trip follow up and partnership.

What if your youth made one of these partnerships with nationals and went on the same trip together?  It has been done and is awesome. Imagine your youth group with twenty to fifty nationals doing ministry together. Imagine your church adopting a church plant that your youth helped start and having a lasting missions relationship.  This is not just for Brazil but could function in many countries around the world.  Let’s start MULTIPLYING!  Let’s start “Empowering National Students!”
